Life Coaching
God says He has prepared “good works…in advance for us to do.” Ever wonder what those are? Certainly we as followers of Christ have been given an idea of where God wants us to invest our time, energy, and service—caring for the helpless, standing up to injustice, giving generously to those in need, building up others in grace and truth, and more. But we often feel lost as to how to go about that service in our day-to-day lives. Sometimes we are simply too close to be able to see the bigger picture and need another pair of eyes with a fresh perspective.
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
As a trained therapist with years of experience, I can offer you a new outlook as well as insightful perspective into how to live in light of your purpose. I will work with you to discover areas in which you feel stuck—spiritually, emotionally, vocationally, and relationally—and illuminate strategies to move from stagnation to personal growth and meaningful service that is both effective and fulfilling. In our coaching sessions together, we will do the following:
-
Articulate what you value/what makes you come alive
-
Align your priorities and time to match what God considers important/valuable
-
Identify your unique gifts and strengths
-
Look for opportunities for you to utilize those gifts in the needs/lives of those around you
-
Identify areas of weakness and minimize parts of your life where you are operating out of weaknesses rather than strengths
-
Discuss and learn how to create and maintain healthy relationships that mutually enrich your life and the lives of those around you, moving toward greater intimacy, trust, and community
-
Spend time envisioning the kind of character and service you want to define your life
In aligning your life with what God values and how you are uniquely designed to serve, you will find deeper fulfillment, freedom, and joy as you grow in spiritual maturity, becoming who you were always intended to be.
